London Insurance Life celebrates its second anniversary
It is two years since the LMG launched the London Insurance Life (@LIL) talent attraction campaign - and what an amazing two years it has been.
The @LIL campaign targets young people considering their career options through social media and events where they can meet our volunteer @LIL Ambassadors - young professionals who already work in the London specialist insurance market and promote our social media campaign. There are now 130 @LIL Ambassadors, who are at the heart of the success of the campaign.
In the last two years we have covered 100 careers events - and spoken to thousands of students about the interesting and rewarding careers offered by the London insurance market. This includes 20 events hosted by the LMG in conjunction with market firms, where we invited students and those providing careers advice to inspiring experiences in the City.
@LIL now has 4,000 social media followers, who learn about the London market through stories posted by people who already work there. There have also been a number of successful applicants for entry level opportunities promoted by London market firms on the @LIL social media pages.
